The best Coco Chanel quotes

A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.
Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.
In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.
Fashion fades, only style remains the same.
Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance.
Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman.
The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.
A women who doesn’t wear perfume has no future.
Some people think luxury is the opposite of poverty. It is not. It is the opposite of vulgarity.
Fashion is architecture: it is a matter of proportions.
Women think of all colors except the absence of color. I have said that black has it all. White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony.
Don’t spend time beating on a wall, hoping to transform it into a door.
Success is most often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable.
Nature gives you the face you have at twenty; it is up to you to merit the face you have at fifty.
How many cares one loses when one decides not to be something but to be someone.
Elegance does not consist in putting on a new dress.
Elegance is not the prerogative of those who have just escaped from adolescence, but of those who have already taken possession of their future.
Fashion is made to become unfashionable.
There is no time for cut-and-dried monotony. There is time for work. And time for love. That leaves no other time!
There are people who have money and people who are rich.
As long as you know men are like children, you know everything!
Look for the woman in the dress. If there is no woman, there is no dress.
A woman has the age she deserves.
Hard times arouse an instinctive desire for authenticity.
Great loves too must be endured.
Innovation! One cannot be forever innovating. I want to create classics.

Afraid Of Wearing White Pants

Lifestyle, Motherhood: Sold & Ziv, My Style, OOTD

This is crazy!

I shared on my Instagram the reason why I have been afraid of wearing all white. It may seem like the most trivial thing in the world, but it has been such a big and scary deal for me. When I was in middle school I was a witness to a classmate getting her aunt flow the same day she was wearing white jeans. It was the most embarrassing experience for her, and it ruined me for years to come.

I’ve always loved white. I think it looks stunning on dark skinned women, the darker the better.

I saw first hand how horrifying it was for my classmate to walk up the stairs with blood stains on her pants while ignorant kids made fun of her. I quickly went up to her and gave her my sweater to wrap around her waist and cover herself up.

Fast forward to many many years later and here I am. It was my birthday on October 4th, and the next day I decided to finally let go of such a ridiculous fear. I dressed up in white from head to toes and decide to spend the day out in nature with my family.

As expected, nothing happened. My monthly friend has been gone for 16 months thanks to the breastfeeding. I will admit that I was a little nervous. But the I made it through the day with no accidents.

In closing, I’d like to leave you with some words of advice. If there is something that you wish you could do, but haven’t because you are afraid, assess where your fears are coming from and face them head on. This motto doesn’t just apply to fashion, but just about everything in life. But since this is a fashion and style related blog, I would love to hear about your story. Is there anything you wish you could wear but for whatever reason are afraid, embarrassed or ashamed to? Let’s talk!
